Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the National Marine Bank of Baltimore dating back to the early 1900's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Cashier, was printed by A. Hoen & Co. of Baltimore and measures approximately 11 1/4" (w) by 7 1/2" (h).
This piece features a great vignette of a masted paddlewheeler on rough seas.

Historical Context
The National Marine Bank of Baltimore was founded in 1810. It was chartered as a national bank in 1880 and produced currency until 1935.
The bank eventually was located at 33 South Gay Street in Baltimore.
