Tunnel Railroad of St. Louis
Intricately engraved antique stock certificate from the Tunnel Railroad of St. Louis dating back to the 1880's. This document, which has been signed by the company President and Secretary, was printed by the American Bank Note Company, and measures approximately 11 1/2" (w) by 6 3/4" (h).
This certificate features a pair of vignettes - a train going under a bridge at the top, and a dog at the bottom.

The Tunnel Railroad of St. Louis ran between East St. Louis and St. Louis, over the Eads Bridge through the tunnel, with extensive delivery, and storage tracks on both sides of the river.
Later, it was controlled by the Terminal Railway Association of St. Louis.
