Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the Pocono Manor Association dating back to the 1930's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Secretary, and measures approximately 11" (w) by 8 1/2" (h).
Pictured on this piece is the resort's "Brick Tower Wing." Completed in 1925, the Brick Tower Wing” was an 8-story building that contained 106 rooms and was the most impressive structure in the entire region, commanding a view of over 50 miles under favorable conditions.

In 1902 David Bowman, a dairy farmer, sold some land in Monroe County, Pennsylvania to the Quakers from the Philadelphia area, who formed the Pocono Manor Association.
Pocono Manor opened in 1903 and included a golf course and stunning views of the Delaware Water Gap.
