Historical Context
The White Caps Extension Mines Company was incorporated in Nevada in April of 1917. The company's offices were located in Tonopah.
The company owned 13 claims adjacent to the White Caps Mining Company. The company's most important property was a 500 foot shaft. The property seemed very promising, but the gold ore veins were short, and the company was sold at a loss to its neighbor.
White Caps was a small mining center located a few miles from Manhattan, in Nye County.
