Historical Context
The 13th & 15th Streets Passenger Railway Company was incorporated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1859 and was one of the countless Philadelphia trolley companies to form over the next half century.
The company was formed to build and construct tracks north and south from Columbia Avenue and Carpenter Street, respectively, upon Thirteenth and Fifteenth Streets.
The line was leased to the Philadelphia Traction Company in 1892.
