Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the Delaware Shore Rail Road Company dating back to the 1870's. This document was printed by A. T. Zeising & Co. and measures approximately 11 1/2" (w) by 8 3/4" (h).
The vignette features a train at a waterfront station.

Historical Context
The Delaware Shore Rail Road was incorporated on February 20, 1873, in New Jersey. It was subsequently acquired by the Delaware River Railroad on August 9, 1879, through judicial sale.
The Delaware River Railroad was subsequently absorbed by the West Jersey and Sea Shore Railroad on April 30, 1900. The line operated 19.99 miles of track.
