Historical Context
Lozak Laboratories was incorporated in Baltimore, Maryland around the turn of the 20th century. The company originally produced a "remedy" to help strengthen the body (the bottle is pictured on this piece.)
The company is thought to be the first to produce yogurt for public consumption.
Unfortunately, at the time, there was little demand for the products and the company was merged into the Arden Company. The Lozak name was preserved into the 1930's as Arden produced milk products under the Lozak name.
