Historical Context
The Middlesex Railroad Company was incoporated in Massachusetts on April 29, 1854. The line opened from Charlestown Neck to Stillman Street three years later.
In August 1886, the lines was consolidated with the Highland Street Railway to form the the Boston Consolidated Street Railway Company.
