Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the Westchester Putnam Trolley and Land Improvement Company dating back to the early 1900's. This document, which has been signed by the company President and Treasurer, was printed by W. Reid Gould and measures approximately 11" (w) by 8 1/4" (h).
The vignette features an eagle atop a beehive flanked by Niagara Falls and a farming/town scene.

The Westchester Putnam Trolley and Land Improvement Company was incorporated in New York in 1907.
The company was based in Putnam Valley, Putnam County, New York.
It appears the company was formed to acquire lands to be used to develop a trolley system that would serve the town of Cortlandt and surrounding towns in Westchester and Putnam Counties.
