Historical Context
The Holland Hotel opened up in Fishkill Landing (now known as Beacon,) New York in 1894.
The three story red brick building had blue stone trim and was owned by William Gordon. There were ten fireplaces, each with an oak mantel and tile hearth, in the principal rooms, as well as a billiard room and a dining room.
The hotel was located on Main Street at the site of the current Department of Motor Vehicles.
