Historical Context
The Cincinnati, Newport and Covington Railway was chartered on July 16, 1892, under the laws of Ohio, as a consolidation of the South Covington and Cincinnati Street Railway Company, the Newport and Cincinnati Suet Railroad Company, and the Cincinnati and Newport Street Railroad Company.
The company operated 66.84 miles of track, which served Cincinnati, Newport, Covington, Dayton, Bellevue, Ludlow, Latonia, Bromley and Fort Thomas.
The line was known as the Green Line.
