Historical Context
The Sacramento Valley Colony Company was incorporated in California and owned a tract of land near Willows, California in northern part of Glenn County, about 140 miles east of San Francisco.
The company had plans to develop the land with a community with an extensive irrigation system powered by over 70 pumps - even promoting the construction of a railroad to serve the area.
However, there is no evidence the plans ever passed the speculative stage.
