Historical Context
This company was originally incorporated as the Lightning Change Advertising Company in Maine with offices in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1899, the company's name was changed to the Automobile Advertising Company.
The company was formed to manufacture electric motor carriages for advertising purposes. The construction of the vehicles was to be subcontracted with licensing agreements. The company believed their patents were strong and would limit competition. The company estimated they could circulate several vehicles around Boston for fees of $40 per day
No vehicles were ever built, and the company was bankrupt by 1912.
