Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the Wildwood and Delaware Bay Short Line Railroad Company dating back to the 1930's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Treasurer, was printed by the E. A. Wright Bank Note Company and measures approximately 11 3/4" (w) by 8 1/4" (h).
The certificate's detailed vignette features a train steaming down the tracks underneath a signal tower.

Historical Context
The Wildwood and Delaware Bay Short Line Railroad Company was incorporated on June 14, 1910, under the general laws of New Jersey.
The line ran a total of 4.2 miles – from Wildwood Junction, New Jersey to Winslow Junction, New Jersey. In July of 1930, this line was purchased in foreclosure by the Atlantic City Railroad.
