Nicely engraved antique stock certificate from the Union Dredging Company dating back to the 1910's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Assistant Treasurer, was printed by the Security Bank Note Company and measures approximately 11 1/4" (w) by 7 1/2" (h).

The Union Dredging Company was organized in 1906 by Edward Francis Haas. The company was later incorporated under Delaware law in 1909. Offices were located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The company originally did a lot of river rectification and reclaimation work in California's in Sacramento and San Joaquin deltas, which substantially added fertile land to the state.
