The U. S. Chicle & Confection Company was incorporated in Delaware in 1916.
The company manufactured chewing gum under the "Michigan" trade name.
Due to the outbreak of World War II and shortage or unavailability of ingredients - most of the country's chewing gum makers were no longer in business after the war ended and the U.S. Chicle and Confection Company was no exception.
The company went bankrupt and had its charter repealed in 1922.
