Nicely engraved antique stock certificate from the Troy and Tiptonville Rail Road Company dating back to the 1800's. This document was printed by Chas. F. Ketcham & Co, and measures approximately 9 1/2" (w) by 6 3/4" (h).

Historical Context
The Troy and Tiptonville Railroad was incorporated in Tennessee in 1887 and operated a line between Troy and Moffat - a distance of about five miles.
The line was succeeded by Chicago, St. Louis and New Orleans Railroad before becoming part of the Illinois Central Railroad.
