Beautifully engraved antique bond certificate from the Spokane, Valley & Northern Railway Company dating back to the early 1900's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Secretary, was printed by the Cole Litho Company, and measures approximately 9 1/2" (w) by 14 1/2" (h).
This certificate's vignette features a mountain mining scene.
This line was built by the American Mineral Production Company, and ran six miles from its Allen quarry to a railhead at the town of Valley.
It was later planned to be extended to Red Marble, but the cost of building and maintaining the road forced AMP into bankruptcy.
