Intricately engraved bond certificate from the Sacramento Valley Colony Company dating back to the 1920's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Assistant Secretary, measures approximately 9 1/4" (w) by 14" (h).
This certificate features a great vignette of a pair of men picking citrus from a tree with broad farm valley scene in the background.
You will receive the exact certificate pictured.
The Sacramento Valley Colony Company was incorporated in California and owned a tract of land near Willows, California in northern part of Glenn County, about 140 miles east of San Francisco.
The company had plans to develop the land with a community with an extensive irrigation system powered by over 70 pumps - even promoting the construction of a railroad to serve the area.
However, there is no evidence the plans ever passed the speculative stage.
