Intricately engraved antique stock certificate from the Rustless Iron and Steel Corporation dating back to the 1930's. This document, which has been signed by the company President and Secretary, was printed by the E. A. Wright Bank Note Company and measures approximately 11 1/4" (w) by 8" (h).
This certificate's vignette features an allegorical female figure with a gear, sledgehammer, and anvil. Factories behind her belch black smoke into the sky.

Historical Context
The Rustless Iron and Steel Corporation was incorporated in Delaware in 1924 and was based in Baltimore, Maryland.
The company was a holding company for the Rustless Iron Corporation of America, which owned several patents for the manufacturing of low carbon stainless iron. The company marketed several products under the trade names Defirust, Special Defirust, Defistain and Defiheat.
The company came into prominence in the early 1930's when Ford used Rustless' product in the manufacturing of their new automobiles.
