Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the Princess Iron Corporation dating back to the 1920's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Treasurer, was printed by the Republic Bank Note Company and measures approximately 11 3/4" (w) by 8 1/2" (h).
The vignette features a female figure wearing a starred crown flanked by a pair of factory scenes.

Historical Context
The Princess Iron Corporation was incorporated in Virginia in 1918. The company purchased the assets of the Princess Furnace Company of Glen Wilton, Virginia. At the same time, the company acquired the Callie Mining Company and the Circle Ore Company - which were both owned by the Princess Furnace Company.
Previously, the Princess Furnace Company was known as Matthew Addy & Company.
Company offices were located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
