Beautifully engraved antique bond certificate from the Porto Rico Telephone Company dating back to the 1950's and 1960's. This document, which carries the printed signatures of the company President and Secretary, was printed by the Security Bank Note Company, and measures approximately 12" (w) by 8" (h).
This certificate's vignette features a rotary phone, a transmission tower and a telephone pole atop a map of Puerto Rico.

The Porto Rico Telephone Company was founded in 1914 by the Sosthenes and Hernand Behn – famous sugar cane brokers.
It was the first company to provide telephone communications to the people of Puerto Rico.
