Intricately engraved antique stock certificate from the Pittston Candy Works dating back to the early 1900's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Treasurer, was printed by Goes and measures approximately 11" (w) by 8 1/4" (h).
This certificate features a vignette of the allegorical Liberty. A bold underprint of an eagle's head appears at the bottom center of the piece.
The Pittston Candy Works was incorporated in Pittston, Pennsyvania on August 28, 1907.
The company's factory was on Philadelphia Avenue in West Pittston, where they produced confectionery products under the Queen Esther and Dial Rock names.
Pittston is located in the northeast portion of Pennsylvania, in Luzerne County.
