Historical Context
The Newstetter Electric System Company in was formed by Malcolm A. Newstetter in Reading, Pennsylvania in 1909.
Newstetter invented an automatic electric generating system. This system allowed engines to be started or stopped by the charge of a battery. The U.S. Patent Office had a suit filed by another party claiming they had invented it, but Newstetter was able to prove he had the prior claim and won the right to the patent.
Unfortunately, Newstetter died of appendicitis in November of 1909 at the age of 23, and his estate (including the patent and company) was assigned to his father William M. Newstetter, who was a printer by trade.
There is no record of the company existing after 1910, so it appears the entity was a victim of Malcolm's death.
