Nicely engraved antique bond certificate from the state of New York dating back to the 1940's. This document, which is signed by the State Deputy Comptroller, was printed by the American Bank Note Company, and measures approximately 14 3/4" (w) by 9 3/4" (h).
This certificate features a vignette of the New York State Seal. The New York State Capitol Building is featured on the back and shown in the third picture above.

This New York State bond was issued to "provide moneys for the payment of the war bonus to members or former members of the armed forces of the United States, entitled thereto, pursuant to the Constitution and statutes of this state."
