Nicely engraved antique stock certificate from the Morganfield & Atlanta Railroad Company dating back to the early 1900's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Secretary, measures approximately 10 1/4" (w) by 8 1/4" (h).
This certificate features a beautiful vignete of a dog and contains many intricate details.

Organized in 1905, the Morganfield & Atlanta Railroad Company was officially conveyed to the Louisville & Nashville Railroad Company in 1921.
The line extended from Providence, Webster County, Kentucky, to Morganfield, Union County, Kentucky, a distance of 25.33 miles.
All of the capital stock of the Morganfield & Atlanta Railroad Company was owned by the L&N, and the property has been operated as part of the L&N system since construction was completed in May, 1907.
