The Moorestown National Bank was incorporated in New Jersey in 1885. The bank was Moorestown's first, and was long overdue. When the bank opened, one resident stated:
"It took Moorestown two hundred years to build a bank, and I hope it will take longer than that to tumble it down."
The bank was absorbed by the Burlington Country Trust Company of Moorestown in 1927.
