Beautifully engraved antique bond certificate from the Midwest Athletic Club dating back to the early 1900's. This document, which has been signed by the company President and Secretary, was printed by the Central Bank Note Company, and measures approximately 9 3/4" (w) by 14" (h).

The Midwest Athletic Club was located 6 N. Hamlin Avenue in Chicago's West Garfield Park neighborhood.
The company's stately building was originally a hotel and athletic clubhouse and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 18, 1984.
During its days as an athletic center the building was used as a training site by Muhammad Ali and the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team.
