Historical Context
The Massachusetts Fish Company was incorporated in Maine in 1907 as a consolidation of fifteen New England fishing interests.
The company's first President was C. M. Prankard of the Central Fish Company of New York. The original plan was to call the company the National Fish Company, but this was changed when organization papers were filed.
