Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the Mahala Oil and Gas Co. dating back to the 1920's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Secretary, was printed by Goes and measures approximately 11" (w) by 8" (h).
This certificate's vignette features a broad oil field scene, with a pair of gushing oil wells in the border.
The Mahala Oil and Gas Co. was incorporated in California in 1919.
The company had properites in San Bernardino County on the east end of the Puente Hills, about eight miles northwest of Corona. The Mahala field consisted of three pools - the Main, Abacherli and West.
