The Magna Gold Mines Company was incorporated in Nevada on October 9, 1926 as a reorganization of the Magna Mining Company. In 1927, the company purchased the Buzanes Camp in Lander County.
John Buzanes had found gold ore on his property the previous year and sold the claim to the Magna Gold Mines Company for $200,000. The property included a mining office, an assay office, two bunkhouses, and a cookhouse.
Ore values fell dramatically during 1929 and mining was no longer profitable. Magna folded the following year.
