Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the Madison & Kedzie State Bank dating back to the 1930's. This document, which is signed by the company Vice President and Assistant Cashier, was printed by the Central Bank Note Company and measures approximately 12" (w) by 8 1/2" (h).The detailed vignette features the company's bank building.

Historical Context
The Madison & Kedzie State Bank was organized in 1913, its primary aim was to better the Chicago community in which it was located by merchandising and making thrift more profitable.
The bank's original location was 3131 W. Madison Street, but in 1921, the company moved into its new location at the corner of Madison & Kedzie.
On February 10, 1930, the company was re-organized as the Madison-Kedzie Trust & Savings Bank.
