The Loop & Lookout Railroad Company was incorporated August 17, 1907, under the general laws of West Virginia. The date of its organization was September 6, 1907.
The company operated a single-track line extending northwardly from Rainelle to Nallen, a distance of 18.686 miles.
On December 30, 1931, the Sewell Valley Railroad Company, the Greenbrier and Eastern Railroad Company, and the Loop and Lookout Railroad Company were consolidated into the Nicholas, Fayette, and Greenbrier Railroad Company.
