Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the Lehigh Valley Traction Company dating back to the early 1900's. This document was printed by the Western Bank Note Company and measures approximately 10 1/2" (w) by 7 1/2" (h).
This certificate's vignette features an electric trolley on a busy city street.
The Lehigh Valley Traction Company was incorporated in 1899 as a successor to the Allentown & Lehigh Valley Traction Company. The company operated lines in Allentown and Bethlehem, and was probably best known for its Liberty Bell Line - which ran from Allentown to Philadelphia.
In 1905, the company became part of the newly formed Lehigh Valley Transit Company.
