Historical Context
The La Dicha & Pacific Railroad was incorporated in 1906 as a Maine entity and was controlled by the Mitchell Mining Company.
The company was formed to build a 60-mile road from the mines of the Mitchell Mining Company to the Port of Marques on the Pacific Ocean at Guerrerro, Mexico.
However, the line was never built and the company was insolvent just over a year later.
