Historical Context
The Kokomo, Marion & Western Traction Company was originally known as the Kokomo, Converse & Marion Traction Company and operated from March 1, 1903 to December 7, 1912. At that time the company was merged with a couple of other smaller lines to form the Indiana Railways and Light Company.
That company operated until 1922 when it became the Northern Indiana Power Company.
