Nicely engraved antique stock certificate from the Kenova Oil Company dating back to the 1910's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Secretary, was printed by the Franklin-Lee Division of the American Bank Note Company and measures approximately 11 3/4" (w) by 8" (h).

The Kenova Oil Company was incorporated in South Dakota but owned leases on some 28,000 acres in the Irvine field of Kentucky.
The company was very speculative and even came under investigation for violating Federal Blue Sky Laws.
