Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the Howe Rubber Corporation dating back to the 1920's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Treasurer, was printed by the American Bank Note Company and measures approximately 11 1/2" (w) by 7 1/2" (h).
The vignette on this piece shows an allegorical female figure with a stack of books, a globe and an artist's palette.

Historical Context
The Howe Rubber Corporation was incorporated in Delaware in 1919 to take over the assets of the Howe Rubber Company, Inc., which was based in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
The company, which also had operations in the Chicago area, manufactured tires and tubes for automobiles.
