Historical Context
The Golden Bros. Trained Animal Show was incorporated in Arkansas on June 20, 1924 as a reorganization of the Golden Bros. Circus, which had entered receivership a month earlier. The company had gone into receivership when the wife of owner - Margaret Golden - sued to recover $30,000 that she had loaned to the circus, but had not been repaid.
The company eventually became part of the Lee Circus which was part of the Christy Bros. Circus. But, Christy closed the Lee Circus circuit in 1926.
