Historical Context
On February 4, 1909, the Pine Creek Railway was merged with other elements of the former Fall Brook Railway system to form the Geneva, Corning and Southern Railroad.
The line operated independently in New York and Pennsylvania until it was merged into the New York Central on December 22, 1914.
The company's lines included the following:
- Geneva to Newberry Junction, 166.9 miles
- Dresden to Penn Yan, 6.55 miles
- Main Line to Corning, 0.75 miles
- Cowanesque Valley Junction to Ulysses, 39.85 miles
