Historical Context
The Cuban Cane Products Co., Inc. was originally founded as the Cuba Cane Sugar Corporation in 1915. In 1930, sugar baron Manuel Rionda formed the Cuban Cane Products Co., Inc. as a Delaware corporation in an attempt to consolidate and monopolize the country's cane sugar industry. But the company went bankrupt the same year, was reorganized, before failing again in 1931. |
