Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the Citizens Passenger Railway Company dating back to the 1930's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Treasurer, was printed by the American Bank Note Company and measures approximately 11" (w) by 6 3/4" (h).
This certificate features two beautiful vignettes - the Pennsylvania State Seal at the top and the Philadelphia City Seal at the bottom.

The Citizens Passenger Railway Company was incorporated in Pennsylvania in 1858.
The line was leased in 1892 to the Frankford & Southwark Railway, which was subsequently leased to the Electric Traction Company of Philadelphia in 1893.
