Nicely engraved antique stock certificate from the Chelten Corporation dating back to the 1940's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Assistant Secretary, was printed by the Security Bank Note Company and measures approximately 11 1/2" (w) by 7 1/2" (h).
This certificate's vignette features an eagle with a shield atop a crag.
The Chelton Corporation was incorporated in 1906 and was acquired by the Guarantee Trust and Safe Deposit Company in 1928.
The company was merged with the Tradesmen's National and Trust Company in the later half of 1928.
Over the years. all of these companies were ultimately rolled up into PNC Bank Corp
