Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the Augustine Automatic Rotary Engine Company dating back to the 1920's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Secretary, was printed by Lockwood Stationer of Buffalo, and measures approximately 11 3/4" (w) by 8 1/4".

Historical Context
The Augustine Automatic Rotary Engine Company was incorporated in New York in 1909 and was based in Buffalo.
Benjamin F. Augustine invented and patented a revolutionary new engine around the time the company was incorporated. The engine was designed for both steam and gas use, and designed mostly for tractors, boats and automobiles.
In 1922, the Champion Rotary Motors Co., Inc. was incorporated in New York to acquire the rights to build and distribute the rotary engine Augustine had designed.
