Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the American Candy Manufacturing Company dating back to the 1910's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Treasurer, was printed by the American Bank Note Company and measures approximately 11 1/2" (w) by 7 3/4" (h).
This certificate features a vignette of an allegorical female figure holding a sword and light. She is flanked by a dynamo and trolley.
The American Candy Manufacturing Corporation was incorporated in Delaware and was based in Selma, Alabama. The company started off a regional manufacturer and supplier, before eventually growing into a national entity.
At one point, the company produced a line of candy's for the Walt Disney Company, including the Mickey's Mouseketeers Candy Pops, Goofy's Goof Balls, and Dumbo (& his friends) Pops. The company also made Rex Chocolates and Jumbo Sugar Sticks.
