Nicely engraved antique stock certificate from the Almar Stores Company dating back to the 1930's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Assistant Treasurer, was printed by the Security Bank Note Company and measures approximately 11" (w) by 8" (h).

The Almar Stores Company was incorporated in Delaware in 1921 and operated over 250 grocery stores in southern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey.
The company went into receivership in October of 1930 and was reorganized as J. R. Peters & Co.
