Historical Context
The Spokane Tin Mines Company was incorporated in Washington in 1907 and operated the Silver Hill Mine near Freeman. The mine spanned an area covering 312 acres, and was about 20 miles southeast of Spokane.
Work ceased in 1918 after the signing of the Armistace to end World War I.
