Historical Context

The company manufactured the Smith Form-a-Truck and then formers that the company touted as being able to "turn any car into a truck." Basically, it was a flatbed-like attachement that could be fitted to a car's frame.
The company enjoyed a brief periof of success before entering receivership in 1917. On November 25, 1918, the company's assets were purchased by the Dearborn Truck Company.
