Historical Context
This company was incorporated in the Territory of Oklahoma in 1903 to build a railroad from St. Louis, Missouri, through the Indian Territory and Oklahoma to El Paso, Texas.
The route from Oklahoma City to St. Louis was planned to be as follows: from Oklahoma City to Shawnee, then through the Creek country, crossing the Fort Smith & Western Railroad at Castle, thence to Okmulgee, thence north to Claremore, and thence in a northeasterly direction to St. Louis.
Unfortunately, the company never started construction and was reorganized in 1905 as the Oklahoma Pacific.
