The Peoples Passenger Railway leased and operated a number of lines, including:
- Girard Avenue Passenger Railway
- Green and Coates Streets Philadelphia Passenger Railway
- Germantown Passenger Railway
- Northern Passenger Railway
- Centennial Passenger Railway
- Hillcrest Avenue Passenger Railway

In October of 1895, the Peoples Traction Company of Philadelphia was purchased by the Union Traction Company, which was later taken over by the Philadelphia Rapid Transit Company.
